Bar the weekly groceries (& wine), I do 98% of my shopping (including coffee, dog foods, TP, toiletries etc. etc.) over Amazon. I have been an Amazon Prime Customer for over a decade & have also been a very happy longterm Amazon shareholder. (SMILE). Yes, I do return SOME stuff to Amazon — but not that many given that I buy from Amazon, more or less, every other day!

Amazon, at checkout, should have a NO RETURN option.

You basically say that you do NOT plan to return the item. For ticking that Amazon gives you some kind of ‘credit’ — it could be a small discount or some kind of points system. The points could add up, and at some point you could cash in the points as a discount.

IF you get a ‘No Return’ item & then change your mind — then you will have to pay a fee.

It is NOT difficult to work out a scheme.

Not that different to ‘No Refund’ airline fares.

Amazon should think about this.

It should work.
