Contrary to appearances during my ‘working career‘ (i.e., 1974 — c. 2014) I was never a full-time writer, & nor was my writing confined to penning books. (See the images above.) My first book, THE SNA book (which defined the rest of my career), was published in 1983. Nonetheless, I did not start writing in anger till 1989 — as you can see from the ‘First 250 Documents‘ list below. In 1992 I became self-employed as an independent consultant (cum technical/marketing analyst). Then writing became an important adjunct to my consulting & seminars (as mentioned in my ‘Bio‘). Most of my writings, outside of my books, were done 1992 to 2007.
Apart from my books, my other writings consisted of: White Papers, Articles, Columns & Supplements, Newsletters (especially my ‘i-BigBlue‘), Case Studies, Ghost Articles (for CEOs & VPs) and Analysis & Technical Specs (including competitive analysis & design documents (many of which were confidential)). See four examples above.
My First 250 Published Documents
I compiled this document in 2005. I have had quite a few publications since. I think my tally in 2021 is around the 470 mark. But, (please trust me when I say so) I am not counting.
