OK. OK. I understand. This is only of relevance & import to I. I am sorry. But, for I, it is somewhat of a big deal. 730-day streak; 2 full years. NOT a day missed.

And during those two years we had COVID, I had 3 (yes 3) cataract surgeries & we had a LOT of days when it was bone chilling cold, snowing or raining. So, this took some doing & discipline. I am hoping I can stretch it to 3 years. If I can make 1,000 consecutive days I will be real chuffed. That will be 2 years & 9 months. So, I have ANOTHER 270 days — 9 months ahead of me. NOT SURE I will get there. But, I am sure going to try.

Time, age & health are NOT in my favor. I will be 69 in September.

So this is how this walking at 12,000 steps a day came to be.

In 2020, kind of 2 years ago, after my pivotal (kind of life-changing) knee surgery to repair my busted quadricep I embarked on a whole new walking regime. I set myself two goals:
1/ At least 12,000-steps each & every day without fail or exception, &
2/ 500,000-steps each & every month without fail or exception.

I set myself the 12,000-steps a day goal on April 17, 2020.

I added the 500,000-steps a month goal in June 2020.

So far I have managed to stick to BOTH goals, without fail or exception.

The 12K a day goal & the 500,000 steps a month goal are NOT interlinked. You can achieve each independent of the other.

You need to walk an average of 16.7K steps in a 30-day month to make 500K for the month. For 31 day months it is a tad lower at 16.1K steps. But, then there is February. In February 2022 I walked, on average, 18,000-steps a day to make the 500K goal. The 3-days in Acadia, mid-month helped, especially the day I walked 32,800 steps. SMILE.
