WHY? Why, did Trump feel compelled to pay Stormy this $130,000 as ‘hush money’ in 2016?
That is the pivotal & fundamental question that nobody is asking — & hence we do NOT have an answer.
He was NOT being blackmailed by Stormy.
The story of their 2006 sexapade had already appeared in the media way back in 2011 — 5-years ahead of the hush money payment.
So, the accepted (unasked) assumption was that Trump (& his ‘team’) were worried that if this story came out during his Presidential campaign it would affect his chances of winning.
That is STUPID! That is crazy.
That is where Trump & his team miscalculated, & did so badly.
News of his fling with Stormy would have had ZERO impact on his campaign. He would not have lost a single vote.
Everyone knew that Trump was no Saint.
People knew that he was a womanizer. People knew that he screwed around.
So, who would have cared. Later we leant, painfully, that no one cared about him bragging about grabbing at the …

Trump miscalculated. Miscalculated badly.
They did NOT have to pay this hush money.
He he had NOT paid he would not be in this prediciment.
