Other than when it comes to stock & option trading, I DO NOT GAMBLE. I kind of joke that I gamble enough on the stock market to preclude any need for any additional wagering. As such, it took me quite a bit of time to warm to Vegas. But then I had to start going to Vegas, at least twice a year, for multiple days at a time, to do seminars at various networking tradeshows — doing seminars a major part of my professional repertoire. I got a liking for the Vegas shows & dining. I even started going there on family vacations.

My primary reason for picking ‘The Mirage’ was the ‘Siegfried & Roy‘ white tigers that were on display at the hotel. I have a thing about tigers. I loved those tigers. I would go spend a lot of time watching them. I, however, never went to a show. I DO NOT like seeing Big Cats perform.

I have probably stayed at The Mirage about 8 times. Yes, I have stayed at many other Vegas hotels too. There are stories about me & Vegas hotels. But, we won’t go into those now.

Anywho, I am sad to hear that The Mirage might cease to be.

But, there was some good news that went with it. The new owners are a Native American group. I am happy about that. I am all for Native American enterprise, initiative & success.
