Not exactly new. I had had others in this ‘Bold Coast’ series (of 5) in the ‘Best Sellers‘ list. This (below) was from July 2023.

I know some of you won’t believe this, but I don’t check this stuff. I just happened to notice it today. SMILE.

It is NOT making me rich — that is a fact & a given. Check the prices. But it makes me happy & for I, happiness is better than money (because people tell me that money doesn’t make you happy (though I am not totally convinced of that)).

BIG GRIN.

It is NOT making me rich — that is a fact & a given. Check the prices. But it makes me happy & for I, happiness is better than money (because people tell me that money doesn’t make you happy (though I am not totally convinced of that)).

But, I did NOT write them for the money. That was a good job. Smile.

It is GRATIFYING & to I that is ALL that counts. Smile.

Making the ‘Maine Travel Guide’ Best Seller list is NOT new. Last year I had TWO books make it to #1 — albeit fleetingly. Again, didn’t make me rich.

Yes, two of them have got up to #1 — albeit fleetingly. But, I am cool with #4 & #5.

In September 2020 there were NO books on Amazon that had ‘Bold Coast‘ in their title.

Now we have a #1.

I have put the ‘Bold Coast‘ on the MAP. Smile.

I am pleased (plus it amuses I (which is always a bonus)). I am, however, not done as yet. I still have three other books I plan to do over the winter — to be available for the 2023 ‘season’. Two will be in full color & the other will be for kids. Well, stay tuned.

That is the highest it has been — from what I have seen.

NO. NO. I do not spend all my time checking. At MOST once a day. I did so first thing this morning. Saw it was at #4 & I was chuffed. Nice way to start the day.

Not sure whether it will ever go higher. Would be neat if it did. BUT, that will NOT make me rich or famous. Far from it. Not sour grapes. Just reality.

This is the $2.50 eBook. I think my royalties on the eBook is like 35 cents a copy. So, if I sell 100 I will make $35 in royalties. That is, as some of you well know, not enough to even keep me in red wine for two weeks.

To be fair the book is doing quite well. Printed copies of it, as well as my ‘Ambling Guide‘ are selling well in Lubec. So, that is nice. I am happy.

But (sour grapes notwithstanding) I no longer write for the money. SMILE. I just like to write. Actually I lie. IF I don’t write I get physically & emotionally ILL. Yep. A terrible addiction. I have to write. I have not written (as in for a book) in 2 weeks and I am NOT a happy camper. I have get back to writing soon. Yes, another book has already been started.

These Amazon RANKINGS change by the MINUTE. I dare NOT look again. I am probably down to 16 or less. As soon as someone places an order the rankings change.

But, it was NICE to be #5 even if it was for a few minutes (at that). SMILE.
