NOTE: It is on the 23rd of Sept., NOT the 22nd. Plus, it is very, very early in the morning.
2023 is one of those years, every 4-years, that the equinox is on the 23rd rather than 22nd.
Sunrise & Sunset Times for Concord, New Hampshire around the
September 2021 Equinox.
(From Time-and-Date).
Note that daylight is NOT exactly 12 hours!
There is a reason for that. It is our latitude above the equator.
If we were closer to the equator it would have been closer to 12 hours.
For us the ‘Equilux‘ (i.e., Latin for for ‘equal light‘)
happens 2 days later on September 25.
This, i.e., it being 2 or 3 days later, is the case most years.
In case you were wondering ‘Equinox‘
means ‘equal night’.
