JTG 2024 was last night.
After a 4 year hiatus (due to COVID etc.)
Yes, of course, I went. I haven’t missed many.
I was there from about 7:15 to the very end, which was past 11:15.
It was a BLAST. Wonderful. Great music. Great food. Great people.
I ended up taking 145 usable photos.
To start with, I made them into this video montage with dubbed music.

It is a cause CLOSE to my HEART. So, I am happy to help out in whatever little way I can.
I did volunteer last June but the weather, viz., warnings of severe thunderstorms, did not cooperate. So, I didn’t get to do much other than set up the shot put ‘pit’ & take it down. Ironically, we are supposed to get rain tomorrow — albeit, with luck, only starting around 1pm. The track events where I am helping are supposed to start at 7:30am. So, we might get some action. Fingers crossed.

To say I am HUGE FAN of JTG just doesn’t cut it. It is fun of the BEST musical events in New Hampshire (hands down) & indubitably the BEST VALUE for money. This was at the ‘Capitol Center for the Arts’ (CCA), ‘Concord’, New Hampshire on Monday, April 15, 2024. A ‘Giles Series’ free concert. It was very good.
This soothing song. beautifully rendered, was done as a SPECIAL tribute to Vietnam vets — to make amends. They did a very nice segment, just for those vets — making those present stand up. I happened to be seated next to one (he served during the War but was never sent abroad (but he still counts as a vet of that era)). It was good.
As some of you know, video is NOT my medium or thing. But, with this I felt obliged to record — just so that I can share it with you. Please enjoy.

First crocuses of 2023 (in our yard) — April 7, 2023.
I am AMAZED. As you can see from one picture we still have snow on the ground — adjacent to these flowering crocuses.
I was NOT expecting to see any flowers. I wanted to see if any SHOOTS had come up, under the snow.
THEN I SAW THE FLOWERS. I was floored, BUT happy.
But, we are expecting ANOTHER MAJOR SNOWSTORM on Wednesday!
This crocus bed is usually the FIRST to bloom each year. It faces East and as such gets a lot of sun. The bed does well as long as I don’t shovel a ton of snow on top of it from the the driveway. As we know we didn’t have that much snow this winter. That sure was a factor. Over a WEEK EARLY!

Was basically a very quick, near impulse buy (but not by I). {As you can see I am not in the picture (quite literally)).
Good deal. We are HAPPY. I AM HAPPY {& that is somewhat important}.
So far very pleased & impressed with dealership. Hope it continues as such. Nice folks. {Not as fancy & health-conscious as a ‘Volvo’ dealership, but nice enough.}
Now the SECOND Chevy in the fleet. Nothing wrong with that. I have owned a LOT of GM/Chevys. I am glad.
Will keep you posted.
Yes, still 4 leased cars: 2 Chevys, Volvo XC60 & Mazda CX-30. {The latter, 18-months into its lease still doesn’t have 2,500 miles!}

The Spring Equinox can happen on March 19, 20 or 21.
So, March 19 seems a tad only. But, notice it is happening LATE AT NIGHT. Already March 20 in Greenwich, England. It was also on March 19 in 2020. So, not that rare. But, for us in New Hampshire, it falls most often on March 20.
Last year it was ULTRA SNOWY. This year NO SNOW — ice out (earliest on record) already declared.

Note that daylight is NOT exactly 12 hours!
If anything we get closer to 12 hours 3 days earlier.
There is a reason for that. It is our latitude above the equator.
If we were closer to the equator it would have been closer to 12 hours.
