I am BLESSED in that I often get to meet AMAZING & important people, by chance, during my travels. That was indeed the case with ‘Dan Falt‘, this past Friday, during my latest trip to ‘Acadia‘. At 4pm, I stopped at the Marina in ‘Northeast Harbor‘ to have my lunch. A white car pulled up, & this BEAMING, FRIENDLY FACE asked where I was from. I answered ‘New Hampshire‘. He laughed & said ‘before that’. I replied ‘Ceylon‘ … ‘Sri Lanka‘. He immediately replied that he had visited Sri Lanka three times and went onto describe what he had seen, gleaned and worked out. Very clever man. Told me he had visited 166 (or was it 168) countries — that is more or less like every country currently recognized by the U.N. {I am now going to work out all of those I have visited. My list will be around 30 (methinks).}
Within minutes we had established we were kindred spirits — with many shared interests, chief among them religion, astrology, and art.
He kindly invited me to his AMAZING STUDIO. I lucked out. Wow. I was like a kid in a candy store. I, as is my wont, started taking pictures. He didn’t stop me. {Later I asked him PERMISSION to post his pictures. He is FAMOUS ENOUGH (& gracious) to tell me that that would not be an issue. Me posting these pictures will NOT in any way impact the sale of his work!}
What a GUY. Yes, I am going up again to meet him.
I am INDEED a very lucky man. I know that.
