As some of you know I kept away from politics after I got ‘Obama‘ re-elected in 2012.

Two main reasons, nobody else inspired I & I was preoccupied with my books. I thought about campaigning for ‘Hillary’ BUT my heart was not in it. And I can’t do anything unless my heart is in it.

In 2012, WE [i.e., my then 12-year old 2nd daughter & I] campaigned for Andrew, for NH Senate, as part of the overall Democratic push. Andrew won. We were glad.

Well, as Andrew pointed out last night, he hadn’t seen much of me since then. True.

Well, I am BACK. I am going to get involved. THIS was why I finally became CITIZEN after 38-years of THINKING about it. SMILE.

I DID NOT take any pictures of the crowd for PRIVACY reasons.

Our regular Thursday meeting, today, was at ‘Weirs’ — setting up our stall. About a dozen members & the 16 year old son of a member showed up to help. It was like a well oiled machine. Bang, bang, bang & it was all done. [Some were impressed & a bit bewildered that I carry a sledgehammer with me. But, it did come in handy.]

The bike was proudly on display. The stall will be in action as of this Saturday. I won’t be able to make it till the end of the week since I am going to be in Vermont earlier in the week. I ambled the Weirs, twice, taking in the sights. I like Bike Week. Used to spend a lot of time there when I lived in ‘Gilford‘. [Oh, THE CHIEF took two of us to show us where the car parking is. That was good.]

Saw some pictures of ‘Weirs Beach’ on a Facebook group yesterday. Made me realize, with a gasp, that I hadn’t visited the Weirs in AGES — like in a few years. Yes, I drive by the turning, & the iconic sign, BUT I had not turned in. Kind of made me sad & nostalgic. There was a time, when I liked in Gilford & Meredith, when I visited the Weirs multiple times a month — sometimes by boat, in the Summer. So, I decided to go take a drive there today. The accursed Volvo XC60 also needed to be driven! Hadn’t driven it over 10 days & I didn’t want the damn battery to die on me to compound my woes. I have had it for 6 weeks & I still only have 700 miles.
