One daughter (23) & one son (32). Two daughters (35 & 18) MISSING. That is par for the course. You should be able to work out which one is my son — though LUCKILY for him he has ceased to have any resemblance to I. But, if you are still not sure — he is the clean shaven one.
We don’t have that many family photos anymore. We don’t all get together that much and when we do we forget to take picture. I made sure we got this one. It is a start.

With or without a card she always makes my day, each & every day.
We now kind of KNOW that she will have cards made for us. Kind of expect it, BUT it is always such a TREAT. She doesn’t want us to see her making them. So she makes them secretly. Yes, we are very lucky.

She worked till 2am Christmas Day morning getting these ready — baking them in the oven etc.
She makes us art, as presents, for Christmas, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s/Father’s Day etc. She gets more daring & better each year.
This year we each got a very realistic sculpture of a reclining figure. Very clever. Very cute.
Well this year she was ADAMANT that I can’t post any pictures of her art! Bummer.
She is a private artist. She will not show her art; not share her art or sell her art. Shame. But, she is MY daughter — & as she points out, multiple times a day, she can do whatever she wants. And she does. SMILE.

I am NOT 100% sure WHY I started watching it on ‘Netflix‘. Maybe it had to do with the pigs in the Netflix trailer. {SMILE} I also DID NOT watch it in one go. I kind of watched 20-minutes at a time to begin with, spread over two weeks, UNTIL I got hooked. I really liked it.
The last 1/3 of this documentary is about ‘Mike Veeck‘ & his daughter who got very sick. I won’t say anymore … because I don’t want to spoil it for YOU. Well, I can RELATE to that. That is what made this documentary SPECIAL in the END. It was inspirational. WOW. What a Dad!
If YOU are a Dad, watch it. We can all learn.
The baseball stuff is just an essential backdrop. You don’t have to LIKE or KNOW baseball to enjoy & savor this documentary.
Plus, it is HILARIOUS.
Yes, not for dingbats. But, if you are mature, you will find it rewarding.

Over the last few years we always look forward to this. Her handmade — or painted — gifts for the three of us. This year she wrapped them all, in bluish paper, & had them on the table.
Compared to last year, when she was sick & was home for the duration, she hardly had any time this year. She had school until Wednesday. Then on Friday we lost power for the whole day. So, she, basically, only had 2 days to get all of this done.
She worked like crazy yesterday, Saturday, once the power came back, to get it all done.
It is grand. She wishes she had more time. But, we love what we got & that is what matters.
We all had a grand Christmas. Hope you did too.
