I Am Not Going To Get Excited About (Or Make Plans) For The April 8, 2024 ‘Total Eclipse’ Until I Know The Weather.

You will be able to see the TOTAL eclipse from Northern New Hampshire. People will be flocking in from all over the place. I am not too worried about that. I know how to get up north via the back roads. SMILE. So, traffic & crowds, I hope, will not be an issue.

My only concern is WEATHER.

As far as I recall we, in New Hampshire, missed the 2019 eclipse because of weather.

So, I am going to wait until I can, at a minimum, see the 10-day forecast. Then I will start formulating a plan. I will let you know.

In New England They Really Don’t Know The Difference Between ‘Naked’ & ‘Topless’.

It, of course, has all to do with the climate & weather. Both forms of ‘undress’ are basically foreign to those that live in these chilly climes where the temperature is only above freezing for a couple of months a year (if we are lucky). So being ‘undressed’ is NOT something folks know about.

But, of course, there is a HUGE difference between being topless & naked.

Being a man I can, & I do, go topless. That is accepted (albeit grudgingly by some). IF I went naked that would cause quite the stir & I would not be surprised IF I got arrested. So, there is a difference between topless & naked.

The woman in that picture is NOT naked.

She is topless.

HUGE difference.

People With Names Apropos To Their Job, ‘Danielle Breezy’, Chief Meteorologist For ‘ABC’ TV Affiliate.

Cute. Chief Meteorologist named ‘Danielle Breezy’. She did the national news for ABC’s ‘Good Morning America‘ today. That is how I happened to see her. Funnily & atypically none the GMA hosts even tried to make a joke (or reference) to her name. It must be known, among the circles that she moves in, that it is not cool to bring this up. But, it amused me.

That said, her name is still NOT good enough as that of ‘Ken Weathers’ who is also a Chief Meteorologist at another ABC affiliate. Does ABC affiliates go looking for weathermen with appropriate names? I had come across Ken 5-years ago. So, Breezy reminded me of him. I just had to look him up again — & it wasn’t hard.

The name ‘weather’ as I discovered when I came across Ken in 2017 has the most intriguing origins. But, I won’t go into that now because this post is about Danielle Breezy. So, I had to look it up. I came across this quite quickly. Can’t confirm its validity but it sounds vaguely plausible.

These 11 heavily armed men drew police attention because one of their vehicles ran out of gas!

Ran out of gas on I-95 in Massachusetts?

How sad & at the same time funny (if not pathetic). There are so many 24-hour gas stations in MA serving I-95. So, I have to assume that they did not realize they were running out of gas.

Then, their leader, on the video he ‘live streamed‘, complains of the COLD in MA & that he is shivering. They are supposedly from Rhode Island. As New Englanders one would have hoped they checked the weather forecast before setting off interstate to Maine — even in the Summer. Yes, it does get cold at night up here. That is why we true New Englanders always carry some warm clothing in our vehicles — year round. We also make sure not to run out of gas — especially on I-95.

Yes, these folks sure seem to be in need of much training. Not sure why they were carrying all those guns. Maybe they thought they might encounter some Moose.
