In the scheme of things I stayed pretty ‘local’. Didn’t go that far. Google says I drove close to 11,000 miles. That sounds right.
I had FORGOTTEN some of these trips. Wow.
So, it was all confined to 4 States (not counting my home state of New Hampshire) — viz. Maine, Vermont, New York & Massachusetts. Lot of NEW places for I. I am glad. I am happy. But, I am always happy. SMILE.

Yes, I was, of course, aware that I had made two long trips; one, 2,700-miles, to Iowa to pickup ‘Rowen‘ our Newfie pup & the other, in September (as is my wont) to Shenandoah (for the second year running). Then there was my usual trips to Maine & in 2021 all the numerous trips to Boston to do with my cataract surgeries (& follow ups). But, until I got Google’s annual summary of my timeline I had no idea that I been by 85 cities. I sure know I didn’t visit that many. But, if Google says so, I guess I must have been through them. Neat.
What is pretty amazing is that I assiduously adhered to all the prevailing COVID protocols! So, during the January Iowa trip, we did not stay overnight in NY or PA so as to honor their COVID requirements.
By the time of the other trips, I had been vaccinated — as of March 6, 2021. So, that helped.
Wonder how 2022 will pan out. Haven’t travelled any, even to Boston, this Yikes.

Just my take. Provincetown, Mass. — ‘P-Town‘ — has some unique dynamics. As such enforcing masks in public gatherings is unlikely to come even close to addressing the ‘contact’ issue. Just saying.
That is IT. Not going to say anything more. In Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) butchers selling pork in open markets would never call it by its name — so as not to put off those with religious restrictions against eating pork from making a purchase. Instead, they would call ‘pork’, ‘those that know, will know‘. Same here, ‘those that know, will know‘. SMILE.

Over the last 48-hours I checked with two pharmacies, viz., Hannaford (in Alton, in person) & Walgreens (in Wolfeboro, by phone). In each instance I was told that there was no plans to administer a booster for those, like I, who got the J&J vaccination (or (in my case) at least told we got it).
The pharmacist at Walgreens went onto add that she had had a number of folks who had come by that day asking for the same thing.
The State of New Hampshire no longer has any COVID vaccination sites. It is all now done my private entities. You can, however, still use the State Website to see who the providers are & what vaccines they administer. I noted that quite a few places were out of the Pfizer vaccine. Interesting.
I am NOT willing to lie in order to get a booster, i.e., claim that I have yet to be vaccinated. They do ask for an ID & I know that they have to register it. I don’t want to stand there while being told that I was trying to ‘scheme’ the system. It even might be a minor offense. Will they — can they — call the police? I don’t intend to find out.
Yes, maybe if I was ‘special’ I could get a booster. But, I am far from special.
Well, I just thought I should share this with you. IT could be different in other States. I will have to find out. I can easily go to Massachusetts or Maine IF I could get a booster over there.

These 11 heavily armed men drew police attention because one of their vehicles ran out of gas!
Ran out of gas on I-95 in Massachusetts?
How sad & at the same time funny (if not pathetic). There are so many 24-hour gas stations in MA serving I-95. So, I have to assume that they did not realize they were running out of gas.
Then, their leader, on the video he ‘live streamed‘, complains of the COLD in MA & that he is shivering. They are supposedly from Rhode Island. As New Englanders one would have hoped they checked the weather forecast before setting off interstate to Maine — even in the Summer. Yes, it does get cold at night up here. That is why we true New Englanders always carry some warm clothing in our vehicles — year round. We also make sure not to run out of gas — especially on I-95.
Yes, these folks sure seem to be in need of much training. Not sure why they were carrying all those guns. Maybe they thought they might encounter some Moose.
