Wow! Did you see him on TV? I did (albeit not for that long). But, prior to that I had heard his opening remarks and responses to the ‘investigating’ House Committee for over an hour (during my daily morning walk).

I had never seen his image before (prior to today). Had no idea he was Korean given his name ‘Robert’. Had thought that ‘Hur’ was an awkward name to live with. Was going to look it up. I don’t need to anymore. It is Korean.

Listening to him, he sounded intelligent.

Then I saw him. WOW. He looks intelligent. I am in awe. Obviously a very gifted man. Not sure why he is a Republican, but I won’t hold that against him.

Definitely the most intelligent looking Asian I have seen in ages. It made me happy. It is good we have men like him. I don’t know ANY Koreans! My loss. I would like to meet some. Next time I go to New York State, I will have to find a Korean restaurant to start with.

Second Republican Debate — September 27, 2023.

Way back in April 2017 I was one of the first to do a post on “Nikki Haley’s” hard to miss Crescent Moon necklace. I just knew that it would confuse some & get others curious. I was right (for a rare change). My Nikki Haley crescent moon necklace posts were soon attracting lots of hits — upwards of 1,000 one day!

A necklace was back for the 2nd debate last night. That is plain for all to see.

She did NOT wear one (or had it well tucked away) at the 1st debate (i.e., August 23, 2023) First Republican Debate.

It did NOT appear to be the one that she used to wear in the past.

It probably still is the South Carolina, Crescent Moon motif — but more muted.

Yes, the ‘Crescent Moon’ confused people though why she wore it was quite simple. It is THE symbol of South Carolina — the State she was the Governor of. So makes perfect sense.

But, it is clear that she appreciates that the necklace can be misinterpreted. So, she was known to tuck it away when making certain appearances. It would now seem that she has decided to do away with it — at least for the time being.

She did wear one, a NEW one (though most likely another ‘crescent moon’), at the Sept. 28, 2023, SECOND debate. Please refer to this new post.

‘Chris Sununu’, New Hampshire Governor, Will Be The ONLY Republican 2024 President That I Would (& Could) Tolerate.

I do not know him personally & have never met him (nor his father). That is unusual. Over the last 20 years I have met most if not all the NH governors — bar Sununu. But, then again I don’t frequent the State House as much as I used to or do any political campaigning. Interestingly my 22-year old daughter met him recently at the store she works at. He was there as a normal customer. She said he was very nice. She was impressed. She, being my daughter, has met a fair number of political VIPs … so she knows what is what.

While I know he was raised an ultra-privileged white ‘brat’ — & I have heard stories from locals as to how entitled he used to think he was — he, now in his middle age, is halfway decent. Unlike so many of today’s Republican politicians he is not totally rabid. He even makes sense sometimes.

He is, of course, ultra popular in NH & he has done OK by the State.

If he runs the rest of the field might as well skip the NH Primary. He will win it by such a huge margin that it would be embarrassing.

I would like to see him run. I would like to see him be the Republican 2024 candidate. He will be a good candidate.

I am resigned that in 2024 the Republicans will WIN. Biden has been a disappointment. So, if there is to be a Republican president, in 2024, I would rather it be Chris Sununu than anyone else.
