She was formidably IMPRESSIVE.

‘Formidable‘ (but in the nicest possible way) characterizes her. She will be a formidable candidate. I am not sure WHY anyone would bother to run against her in the Primary. She, in my opinion, will be a WALKOVER in any Primary. I doubt whether we have any other Democratic contenders with her resume, hands-on-experience, recognition, PRESENCE & charm.

I gather than current N.H. Governor, ‘Chris Sununu‘, has already described her as such. That counts. Sununu (like his dad), despite many actions to the contrary, is not a total idiot!

I knew now Senator ‘Maggie Hassan‘ when she was our {splendid} Governor. Cinde reminds me of HER — & to be fair also of ‘Jeanne Shaheen‘. I only met Gov. Shaheen once, but her office helped me twice when she was in D.C. Cinde worked for Jeanne Shaheen’s husband. I am totally convinced, after seeing her last night, that she will be our THIRD OUTSTANDING Female Governor. Yes, I can — & if I have the time WILL — campaign for her. She won me over — & that is NOT easy given that I am crotchety cynical.

Over the last 6 weeks, in my trips to ‘Laconia‘, I had heard snippets of unstinted praise for her. That is why I made a point of going to see her last night. I am glad I did. She motivated I. That is always good.

Well, I will be keeping a CLOSE eye on her.

I have to MAKE SURE that SHE is the NEXT GOVERNOR of New Hampshire.

I owe that to my kids!

‘Chris Sununu’, New Hampshire Governor, Will Be The ONLY Republican 2024 President That I Would (& Could) Tolerate.

I do not know him personally & have never met him (nor his father). That is unusual. Over the last 20 years I have met most if not all the NH governors — bar Sununu. But, then again I don’t frequent the State House as much as I used to or do any political campaigning. Interestingly my 22-year old daughter met him recently at the store she works at. He was there as a normal customer. She said he was very nice. She was impressed. She, being my daughter, has met a fair number of political VIPs … so she knows what is what.

While I know he was raised an ultra-privileged white ‘brat’ — & I have heard stories from locals as to how entitled he used to think he was — he, now in his middle age, is halfway decent. Unlike so many of today’s Republican politicians he is not totally rabid. He even makes sense sometimes.

He is, of course, ultra popular in NH & he has done OK by the State.

If he runs the rest of the field might as well skip the NH Primary. He will win it by such a huge margin that it would be embarrassing.

I would like to see him run. I would like to see him be the Republican 2024 candidate. He will be a good candidate.

I am resigned that in 2024 the Republicans will WIN. Biden has been a disappointment. So, if there is to be a Republican president, in 2024, I would rather it be Chris Sununu than anyone else.

In Total Disbelief That ‘Rogue’ MA Truck Driver Who Killed 7 Bikers In N.H. Was Acquitted!

This horrific accident that happened in 2019 was BIG news. The driver had ADMITTED taking drugs earlier in the day. For reasons I cannot fathom the judge would NOT permit this drug use claims to be presented in court. This is amazing. I am glad that our Governor finds it shocking too. Totally acquitted (albeit after spending 3-years in prison prior to the case)!

Fortunately, he was NOT allowed to walk out of the courthouse a free man. That is some consolation. He is being held on some immigration violation (technicalities). It appears that he might still have driver license related cases in MA — as well as civil prosecution.

He is probably being kept in isolation. The riders that died belonged to a club that did a lot of charity work & as such much respected & liked. There will be folks in prison that are not happy that he got acquitted. IF I get the time I really would like to understand what happened at the trial. It seems a travesty. A travesty of justice.
