I don’t know whether to be flattered or WHAT?

If it was multiple people I it would be easier to fathom — and indeed very flattering.

This is ONE PERSON. The WordPress STATS distinguishes between VISITORS & VIEWS. So, what I am seeing is 1 VISITOR … over a 1,000 VIEWS.

I really would like to know who it is & why this interest.

Yes, perfectly OK. This is a public blog. I appreciate.

It is just that I have never had anyone so interested in my posts. Plus, Ireland. You know, this is sad. I don’t know anyone in Ireland.

C’est la vie. Just wanted to get this out.

IF you see this, I really would like to get to know you. If nothing else to say ‘THANK YOU’ & also ask if there are any subjects you want me to write about.

SMILE. THANKS.

Not great, but (as I always rationalize) it is better than a kick in the teeth.

Not getting close to the 300/day MY old blog used to get but that had been around for a longtime & had painfully build-up quite the following. But, that one had to go.

I need a BLOG attached to my Website: i.e., guruge.com.

And that is what this is: guruge.com/blog.

Yes, I definitely could have done better. But, I don’t make money off this blog. So, c’est la vie. I am happy & some of YOU too appear to be happy. So we are ALL COOL.

THANK YOU for YOUR continued SUPPORT.

Please keep on coming back.

Click to ENLARGE. NO! Not the ‘Pickering House’. ‘The Inn on the Warf‘, Lubec, Maine — my room when I was there exactly a month ago.

What do YOU think?

The ‘Pickering House’ in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, the #4 BEST HOTEL in the WORLD!

Wow.

WOW?

I have never been in (as of yet). One word — COVID. [I did know the previous owner.]

There is just one thing that confuses & confounds I. Even if you are at hotel for your honeymoon (or even a ‘dirty weekend’ or a one night stand) you appreciate the setting of the hotel & the views from your window (especially if you can see them while lying in bed (or doing some other thing in bed). That is what gets me.

No question, at all, at all. The Pickering House has been lovingly & magnificently renovated. Bravo (& thanks). I have already taken quite a few pictures of the exterior. It is a work of architectural beauty. But, the LOCATION & VIEWS.

It is NOT even waterfront. And while Lake Winnipesaukee is LOVELY & I have owned 3 waterfront homes on that lake, I have bummed around the world enough to know that there are better views. [Yes, I have been to the Maldives (#3 above) twice — but, LUCKILY, well ahead of the tourist boom. When I went, there were NO hotels in the Maldives!]

That is it. I am not going to harp on. I love Wolfeboro. I will be going through it tomorrow. I am GLAD for the new owners of the Pickering House. They have spent a lot of money on it. Good for them. But, #4 in the World!

There are 962 posts on the blog! That comes to 2.6 posts a day. I am cool with that. Makes sense. I aim to do at least one and ideally three a day.

The blog has had 28,128 views. That is 77 views a day. That is NOT great but better than 0. Much better than zero. My old blog was averaging 300 a day BUT it had been up for over 12 years and got stellar ranking by Google.

I am OK with the current hit rate. Yes, I would like more, BUT that is purely for ego. This blog is NOT monetized! Truth be told it is mainly for I. It is my journal. I can look back at any day & have a fair idea as to what I was up to — & of course the daily ‘Picture of the Day + 6 Others‘ is a huge help. I have been doing those posts, without even a single miss, since about 2016. That is a lot of pictures.

Well, here, with luck, is to the next 12 months. Wish me luck.

Please come & visit. Leave a comment or two. Thank YOU.

The Chimney On The ‘Chimney Trail’ At ‘ Moose Cove’, ‘Bold Coast’, Maine.

Yesterday, I showed you some pictures of ‘Hamilton Cove’, ‘Bold Coast‘, Maine.

Today, let me take you to ‘Moose Cove‘ on ‘Bog Brook Preserve‘ a tad further south.

Another of my favorite places on the Bold Coast.

There are, as you can see from the map, other hiking options there. The ‘chimney trail’ is but one. But, it has great, iconic views.

The eponymous chimney is easy to miss! It is on the inland side of the trail. So, if you have your eyes towards the coast, you can walk past it — as I did TWICE. I had to retrace my steps to see it. Hence, this post. I wanted to make sure you did not miss it.

Great trail. Try it.

A Vertical, Artistic ‘Rock Wall’ At ‘ Hamilton Cove’, ‘Bold Coast’, Maine — Creating Art Out Of Nature.

This rock wall was on the side of the beach at ‘Hamilton Cove’.

Someone, or most likely a group, spent a fair amount of time & effort to create this work of art. It was NOT created by the sea & tides. SMILE.

Hamilton Cove is one of my favorite places on the ‘Bold Coast‘ — & that is saying something because I am so fond of the whole place.

The beach at Hamilton Cove is a breeze to get to. The beach is 350 yards from the car park.
