Rejoice! REJOICE!

My favorite day of the year, hands down.

As of the Winter Solstice days start getting longer!

The Winter Solstice, the SHORTEST DAY of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

Welcome YULE!

Shout it out loud. Welcome YULE.

Evenings have already started getting longer — as I pointed out in this post. Funnily enough (if it can be construed as funny) mornings DO NOT START getting earlier until 2024! Then, we really getting into the stride of things. Within a month of the solstice we would have gained in excess of 30 minutes!

‘Christmas Revels’, in Cambridge, MA, Cancels Six Of Their Shows Due To COVID Fears.

Click to ENLARGE. My ticket for the Dec. 29 show. I had the BEST seat in the house.

Truth be told I was NOT going to attend … because of COVID. Just wasn’t going to take a chance. Plus, it would not have been the same — wearing a mask & even WORSE, no communal dancing of the ‘Lord of the Dance‘. That is MY HIGHLIGHT. So, c’est la vie. No show at all last year, & now these shows cancelled. Maybe 2022.

Ah! Today, I managed to make sure that I stopped my walk at 10:59am — precisely. I observed a moment of silence & reflection. It all felt so good.

As far as I am concerned we are now heading into Spring. Days are getting longer. Within a month it will be noticeable. We will have 30 minutes more of sunlight.

Welcome YULE.

Us heathens live for today. Favorite day of the year.

Welcome YULE.
