I haven’t had a chance to do any proper research on it — as yet. I had a QUICK glance at the orbital chart & there is a possibility. I need to study this more.

I have used PAID ‘Avast‘ for so long, I can’t remember a time I was without it. It was a very long time ago — definitely over 20 years ago. [I just looked it up. They were founded in 1988, i.e., 36 years ago. Thus, it would make sense that I would have started using them in the early 2000s.]
To be fair Avast has been good to me. I haven’t, as far as I know, had any security issues.
However, it wasn’t always PLAIN sailing though they really did get their act together over the last 5 to 6 years.
My ONLY issue with them is that they are becoming INCREASINGLY INTRUSIVE.
They want to OWN my computer.
I know that they are also very resource hungry — not that I have a shortage of resources on this PC. But it irks me that Avast keeps on doing all these things in the background when I don’t need it to.
Yes, it ALL had to do with me FINALLY moving to ‘Windows 11‘. SMILE.
I did a lot of research on DEFENDER on Windows 11. I am very careful as to what I do on my PC. I do know what I am doing. SMILE.
So, I am giving it a try — sans Avast. My Avast annual subscription is still paid up & valid till October 2024. So, I can reinstall ‘Avast One‘ IF I decide to change my mind. I will, of course, keep you posted. OK?
Unlike in the U.S., in the U.K. there is NO fixed date when an election — even a ‘General Election‘ (i.e., the nearest thing to a Presidential Election) — is held. There are also no terms, e.g., every 4 years, etc.
The Prime Minister can call an election when he/she wants one — & can basically pick the date on which it will be held.
So, the current Prime Minister PICKED the 4th of July, 2024.
Yes, in the U.K. it is CERTAINLY just another day. Just another day. Nothing special. Just another day. But it is CUTE. Made me smile.
