I told you about this, i.e., SPYWARE pre-installed on AceMagic mini PCs, as soon as I heard about it. I happened to see a YouTube video & a news story on the same day.
I was NOT amused.
This was NOT good. This was intentional. They can’t claim it was accidental.
My concern is that this will tarnish all of the sector. Now, I have tried Geekom, Minisforum and Beelink mini PCs in the last few weeks. All three were CLEAN and none of them had any bloatware. The Geekom IT12, that I opted to keep, was a very clean and good install. I was impressed.
But, this makes you nervous to deal with any of these Chinese mini PC companies.
I recommend that you stick to ASUS, Geekom and Beelink. I am not happy with Minisforum, for now.
What I found MOST disturbing was that I have watched MULTIPLE YouTube videos about mini PCs from ‘AceMagic‘. They have ALL RAVED about these mini PCs. No mention, whatsoever, of BLOATWARE — never mind malware.
So, this raises the whole question as to the credibility of YouTube reviews.
I have watched a LOT of YouTubes about mini PCs to help me make up my mind.
Now I worry that I have been hoodwinked.
I lucked out with the ‘Beelink SER6 Max‘ I bought. There was NO bloatware. Very clean Windows installation. My only gripe with that was the bloody Ryzen.
Now I am worried. Beelink doesn’t have an Intel mini PC that meets MY requirements.

You have seen some of my photos from this Festival here, here & here. I took over 120 photos. Too much to post individually. So, I made a YouTube video of them as a photo montage.
So that is what this video is about: ‘Laconia Multicultural Festival’, ‘Laconia’, New Hampshire on Sept. 9, 2023. A video montage (with canned YouTube music) of 102 photos I took with my Google Pixel 7 Pro. Alas I was only there for just SOME of the performances. Enjoy.

Recent, i.e., from this week, videos on YouTube.I got this kit as a birthday present for my 31-year old son.
YouTube had one of the above ‘Big Boy’ videos as a recommendation for I last night. YouTube has me totally pegged. They know exactly what I will click-on. Yes, I clicked on it. I actually watched two videos. That is why I wanted to share them with YOU. Enjoy.
I can get a FULL READ on whether this is based on a real story. It appears that the writer’s mother was indeed an accountant, but the accountant in this story is way MORE than an accountant.
Quite the story. Very involved but intriguing & compelling.
There are, of late, plenty of movies about autism & then there is THIS MOVIE! This movie is different. Hence, my recommendation.
The ‘Harbor Neuroscience‘ center, presented as being in ‘Hanover‘, New Hampshire — “Dartmouth’s” home town — appears to be fictional THOUGH there is a rather famous neuroscience facility, associated with Dartmouth, in Hanover. There is also a ‘Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’ neuroscience center, but that is not in Hanover.
I really liked this movie, on multiple levels, & learnt quite a bit from it. Hence why I am bringing it to YOUR attention.
P.S., ‘The Accountant’ is available on ‘Prime‘ & on ‘YouTube‘.
I have been a HUGE fan of ‘Oliver Mtukudzi‘ for over 20-years.
I was lucky enough to see him perform, live, in 2015 — & even got to talk with him afterwards about cricket. He was a LOVELY, humble, amazingly talented man — my age.
I was DEVASTATED when I discovered that he had died in 2019, aged 66, due to diabetes-related complications. I miss him. He was a good man.
I listen to him OFTEN on YouTube. So, YouTube makes Oliver recommendations on a regular basis. I had the above recently. I have heard ‘Neria’ hundreds of times. But, this is a nice, cute rendering. I am sure YOU will enjoy it. Give it a spin. Here is another version.

This was a short, 20-minute presentation (which went on for a bit longer). This video is not of the live presentation. It was ‘taped’ (& you should be glad of that).
Instead, this is my PowerPoint presentation made into a YouTube video set to music. It is just under 2.5 minutes. So, not too painful to watch.
This is NOT one of my full-blown, 1-hour (+) comet presentations. It was meant to be short, quick & with an emphasis on C/2022 E3 (ZTF). So, please don’t take this as one of my usual, in-depth comet presentations. I will, now that I have done this, make one of those too. OK?
