This story, especially these two letters sent to a judge, this LAST WEEKEND, hasn’t been covered by ‘CNN‘ or ‘MSNBC‘ — at least as far as my viewing was concerned. It got a fair amount of coverage over the last 48-hours on the U.K. ‘Daily Mail’ (which I read, online, a few times a day) & today (i.e., Monday) on the ‘Fox’ channels.
This story is worth checking out.
Whether you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent, YOU have to ask yourself whether YOU would have got this kind of pell-mell attention, over a WEEKEND, by DOJ lawyers IF you were in a bind. That is what is at stake here.
Does Biden get preferential treatment from the DOJ? That is the question.
This sorry episode would indicate that he sure does.
That angers I.
I like Biden, though I think that he is now TOO OLD & should not be running for a second term.
This is NOT right.
Something is drastically wrong.

Not much more that needs to be said. The above is pretty self-explanatory. Watch what happens when the bill gets to the Senate. Watch RAND PAUL!
I think it will get delayed, past June 5, 2023, by 2 days. It would be symbolic. Nothing else. It will NOT be the end of the world. By then everyone that matters would have worked it out.
If these documents are so SECRETIVE & SENSITIVE as they are said to be, why are they NOT tracked & monitored?
With computers it would be trivial to keep & MAINTAIN an accurate LOG of what documents were given to whom & whether they were returned.
Come on! This is NOT rocket science.
You wouldn’t have to do it with all documents, ONLY those of a certain level & above. Some of these, both with Biden & ‘Trump‘, are said to be ‘sensitive compartmented information facility’ (SCIF) level documents. Come on. If they are that sensitive why aren’t they more closely TRACKED?
45-years ago I worked for IBM which used to be paranoid about security — industrial espionage (in particular), but also too much government snooping. They had a very hierarchical document security system. The highest level that (quite junior at the time) I had access to was deemed ‘Registered Confidential‘ documents. The ‘Registered’ part designated that the document was indeed registered — there was a log of it & you had to sign it out & sign it in, in presence of a document custodian. So, IBM had a track of who had the document & whether it had been RETURNED.
This was 45-years ago. Basically like a library book check-out/check-in system.
Obviously the U.S. government does NOT have such a system, even for SCIF level documents.
Think about it.
If they did, they would have known that both Trump & Biden still had checked-out documents that they had NOT returned. Come on. This is simple stuff.
Now to my next question.
So, there was NO record that Biden had these 20 (or so) confidential documents.
Can we all agree on that (& ditto for the hundreds that Trump is supposed to have taken with him).
So, what would have happened IF Biden had not disclosed it?
Had them destroyed or sent to the ‘National Archives’ in a plain envelope.
Could they have been traced back to Biden?
Basically, Biden, the ol’ Catholic guy, was being too honest, too much of a gentleman.
Think about it.
Yes, if he got caught he would have to be impeached & maybe even sent to jail. But, what were the chances of that.
IF it was his lawyers who found them he would have been protected by their client-attorney privilege. WOW.
The U.S. does NOT belong to the International Criminal Court — as you can see from the Wikipedia image above.
So, to put it simply, the U.S. has NO standing (whatsoever) at this Court.
So, the U.S. cannot have anyone tried for war crimes. Plain & simple as that.
So, Biden, as is so often the case now, is talking total TRIPE. Biden has become an embarrassment. Biden is a liability. Moreover, I am now fairly sure that the Biden family is in Putin’s pocket — having taken significant handouts from Russia in the past.

That I am an unashamed daily (actually multiple times a day) reader of the U.K. ‘Daily Mail‘ should be well known to anyone who knows this blog. I started reading the daily mail in my early 20s — when I lived in the U.K. So, the Daily Mail & I go back 40 years. Yes, I know it is a conservative outlet, BUT I trust & respect MY DAILY MAIL over most other news outlets.
Yes, I will readily concede that the ‘7’ they quote might be a tad low, BUT the actual number is NOT going to be 700 or even 70. So, they might not have totally nailed it, but they probably got the gist of it.
It sure as hell is NOT going to be ‘Biden‘. Biden is old, tired & gutless. He is even worse that ‘Neville Chamberlain‘. It definitely will not be ‘Kamala Harris‘! She, quite literally, does not have the kahunas. ‘Boris Johnson‘ has some of the Winston spunk but he, alas, does not have the standing, following, experience or charisma. ‘Macron’ has already tried BUT he also, unfortunately, doesn’t have the clout. And THIS is what is going to be the difference.
WE, the free world, lacks a CHAMPION.
Don’t start jabbering on about starting a nuclear war. We have had over 50 years to plan for this. Nuclear deterrent & all of that. The trillions & trillions spent on the military & we now claim we don’t have an option? Ah?
To make the claim that Ukraine is NOT a NATO country is lame. Ukraine has been trying to become a NATO country. But, let’s put that aside.
What will we (i.e., NATO) do if Russia makes a move on Poland?
Why can’t we do that same move NOW — preemptively?
So, if Russia encroaches on Poland we will RISK a nuclear confrontation — BUT we will NOT do that for Ukraine? Is that what this is all about.
What happens if Russia attacks us with a cyberwar?
These sanctions are a BLOODY JOKE. The only risk to Putin is he might have a choking fit as he laughs at how impotent Biden is.
This, alas, is not a JOKE. This is serious.
Those that have studied WWII understand the pivotal role that Churchill played. Hitler knew that Churchill was his enemy.
Where is OUR Churchill?
Without a Churchill things will be very BLEAK for US & the World.
Just for the record in case anyone was suspecting sour grapes, I, given my background, am no stranger to motorcades. There were days I went to school in a motorcade though it was but one car & four motorbikes. The last time I was in a motorcade was in August 1992. But, that is by the by … However, while we are at it, let me also point out that I am also more familiar than most with International diplomatic protocols given that my adoptive father was a high-ranking diplomat for over three decades in Paris & D.C. So, I can & will comment on this.
Italy had the right to have put their foot down — BUT they put it down in the wrong place! They enforced, and, moreover, got the U.S. to accede to their COVID protocols. That was good. They, however, did not go far enough or, more to the point, think it through carefully. They are NOT Italians for nothing.
85 cars with 3 passengers = 255 people.
Two of those were Joe & Jill Biden. That still leaves 253 people. They could NOT all have been CLOSE presidential aides & staff. Even Biden couldn’t have an entourage that BIG. So, some of these, probably close to 125, had to have been the travelling press corp.
But, here is my point. All of these people, including the press corp, went over to Rome by plane. Even with empty seats, whatever, they sat in close proximity for 7 to 8 hours on plane.
So, why couldn’t they have been assigned to buses with similar or even better spacing between the seats. So, rather than 85 cars, we could have had 5 cars & 10 buses.
This was STUPID. Biden was STUPID not to have seen this coming. His staff was even stupider — but we already knew that. Yes, I am NOT amused. This was STUPID.
This is NOT right, or kosher, by any measure. There is a very real potential that a lot of U.S. investors could end up losing a lot of money.
NO, I did not buy DIDI. Just did NOT have a good feeling about them. I have seen too many recent IPOs tank after the first few days of exuberant euphoria. I was going to wait & see what happens. I told a few people, by e-mail, that I was going to wait until it dropped to the $13 range (i.e., below the IPO price). Instead of buying DIDI, I did, however, buy a few shares of ‘XMTR‘ which IPOed on the same day. It hasn’t done great as yet, but I like its ‘story’ — i.e., it locates spare manufacturing capacity for those looking for manufacturing sources.
But, back to DIDI.
This looks like a clever (but nasty) trick by the Chinese to hurt American investors & cock a snook at President Biden. The U.S. must react. You can’t let them get away with it.
Their timing also couldn’t have been accidental. They did it on July 4th. That alone is significant. But, to make it worse, July 5 is a holiday in the U.S. with the stock markets closed. So, investors in other countries, including China, can react to the news while U.S. investors fret.
Not nice. Not good. China is getting more & more brazen.
