Neat To See The ‘East Quoddy Light’ (Though NOT On The ‘Bold Coast’) Featured On A ‘Windows 10’ Lock Screen.

The middle figure above explains the irony here. The iconic, candy-striped ‘Quoddy Head‘ light, at the ‘Quoddy Head State Park’ sits at the designated easternmost point of the contiguous U.S. Its officially name, however, incongruous as it maybe, is ‘WEST Quoddy Head Light‘. That is because of the lighthouse pictured in the Windows 10 lock screen. It lies to the EAST of that at the State Park — but it is NOT in the U.S. That is the catch. It is on ‘Campobello Island’, in Canada. It, as you can see, is also a red & white lighthouse though this time the stripes are in the form of a tall cross. The red is to improve visibility in fog — a frequent occurrence in this area.

This was a quirky movie even by British standards. But, if you like British quirkiness (as I do, being a quirky Brit) you will quite like this film. It is actually decent — though, intentionally, slow-paced.

IF you like scrabble, as I do, YOU will LOVE this. You will also learn a LOT of useful words & tips. So, if you play scrabble, WATCH IT. I watched it because I like scrabble. I learnt a lot of useful scrabble words.

Some may watch it because of Bill Nighy. As ever, he is immaculately laconic. Classic.

Well, Bill is who brings up this issue about Marmite & Canada. It would appear that there is some truth to his claim. It all has to do with the secret formulation of Marmite. But, isn’t that also the case with ‘Coco Cola’ & ‘KFC’? Well, you should look it up. My goal here is to just bring it to your notice.

As for the title: “Sometimes Always Never“. I won’t spoil it for you. Very clever. Just lets say that Bill plays a tailor. It has to do with clothing. That is all I will divulge.

Over the last 1,800 years (or more) popes have worn some interesting hats. They were part of their regalia. There used to be a website devoted to papal hats (& I even played around with starting a blog on the same theme).

Pope Francis’ classic native Indian headdress, worn in Canada today, does take the cake. WOW. That is quite the hat. The pope looks good & happy in it — though this, we must remember, is an atonement visit.

Gossip is the greatest evil in the Catholic Church? This pope has become either senile, even more disingenuous or both.

How does clerical sex abuse compare against gossip?

Or is it that he hates it when clerics gossip about clerical sex abuse COVERUP by the likes of former popes!

I am sorry. This is beyond the pale. This pope has got too OLD — in every sense of the word. He has to go. We need a NEW pope.

What about the Catholic Church and ALL THE MURDERS at the Canadian ‘Residential Schools’? That is a lesser evil to gossip. Francis, I am sorry to say, is coming across as a moron.

This pope, any pope, has to take some responsibility. Feel accountable.

I have said it before, I will say it again. Francis is to popes, what Trump was to U.S. presidents. He is by far the WORST pope in recent history. He was a mistake. A big mistake. He needs to go. He needs to go soon, like in this year.

Both from ‘Google News‘ & relate to unforgivable crime of murdering, innocent indigenous kids forced to attend Canadian ‘Residential Schools‘.

As far as I can tell Marc Ouellet was not personally responsible for any of these heinous crimes — though he may have known about it way, way before it became public.

If so, why would his papabili rankings take a nosedive?

Very simple. The Church (& in this case represented by the ultra-politic Cardinal Electors) will NOT want a Canadian pope at this juncture.

Having Marc Ouellet as pope will bring this ‘problem’ way too close to the Vatican.

For a start, a Canadian pope will immediately draw more attention to this crime. It will not go away as the Vatican hopes it will. As long as there is a Canadian pope at the Vatican this crime will get talked about.

Furthermore, Ouellet, as a Canadian, will not be able to distance himself from the crimes — like Francis is doing.

The Canadian authorities & people will DEMAND that he, as pope, openly address the issue. He will have no choice but to apologize.

The Church & the other cardinals don’t want this.

Canada is now a problem.

A Canadian pope will exacerbate that problem & continue to draw attention to it.

So, with that the only plausible papabili from the Americas bit the dust!
