Contrary to what folks might imagine I do NOT check the REVIEWS I get that often — partly because (to be frank) I don’t get that many. But, every few months or so I do a quick check to see if there are any new ones. That proved to be the case recently when I found two really nice ones that had been left in March 2023.
The first one (at top) just cracked me up. I loved the “some humor tucked in”! She got it. Wow. So, rewarding. Made my week. Makes it all so worthwhile. SMILE.
And then the other one. To be told that the trail details are accurate & the directions spot on. Well, I really do try to be accurate & precise. Nice to know I get it right.
I thank these GOOD PEOPLE for these kind reviews. Means much to I. Thank You.
Another review, this one on Facebook from September 2022.
I don’t keep track & I had no idea UNTIL I had to go looking for the ‘1099’ form to do my taxes. 361 was more than I realized. I am happy.
These are the copies sold by Amazon. It doesn’t include the 40 to 50 author copies I got to distribute to folk. Plus, I might have sold a FEW other eBooks on other platforms.
I am NOT sure what to make of the 361. Yes, of course, I would have liked to have sold more. But, 361 is better than a kick in the teeth. The the title that sold the most, i.e., ‘Cut to the Chase’ only became available as of July 28, 2022 & the next one down, i.e., ‘In Two Days or Less’, as of May 27, 2022. So, neither of them were available for the full season.
Other than the Owner of ‘Dockside Treasures‘ in ‘Lubec‘ who sold a LOT of books I really had no other outlets OR support from anyone. I don’t know the exact numbers but she bought a BUNCH of books DIRECTLY from Amazon because I couldn’t get her author copies quick enough (given the mandatory 2-week DELAY Amazon imposes on author copies to impede us competing against them). It would have been nice if I got some help from folks in Maine but …
C’est la vie. I have already moved on.
I was going to do another Bold CoastAMBLING book & I even started working on it, but I have now lost interest. Working on a whole new theme — & it is not even popes!
Well, it will be Spring soon & we can see if there is continued interest for these books. ‘Dockside Treasures‘, to their credit, already ordered a bunch, which was nice & good. I am glad of that.
Amuses me to see that my ‘Central Pain‘ book sells some — 1 a month. SMILE.
Well, bottom line, as some know, these books don’t even pay for the wine it takes to keep me alive. On average I make LESS than $1 a book, given that on some of the eBooks, the royalty is like 60 cents! Smile. If not for the fact that I have owned a ‘few’ Amazon shares for over a decade I would be yet another starving writer. Smile.
Sample pages from the new book — which is all in color.
All my kids have AT LEAST one book dedicated to them. This might, however, be Teischan’s THIRD!
She deserved to have this book dedicated to her. She insisted that I do a PROPER guide to the ‘Bold Coast‘ in color. She did not consider the photo book that I published in October 2022 a proper guide.
I lucked out getting it by Christmas. I only managed to publish it on December 20, 2022. But, it worked out. Getting it to her for Christmas was always the goal.
She like two others also has a book with her name on the title.
All 3 of these books available on Amazon (worldwide).
Watch the YouTube trailer. It has some ‘good bits‘ IF you are interested.
Definitely puts hotel pay-for-view softporn to the sword. Many a director of porn movies would be envious of what they were able to pull off. Haven’t seen that much nudity & sex in a movie in many a year. Wow. But, to be honest, it kind of left you cold. Extremely well produced. Near ‘Downton Abbey‘ or ‘The Crown‘ quality — but in the end, I regret to say, there was too much lasciviousness & not enough ‘story’.
Of course I understand their premise & basis for what Netflix was after. Just as with the book, which was incredibly banned when published in 1928, they want to shock us, be controversial & kind of show the impact the book would have had in 1928.
I have, as yet, NOT read the book. I never really saw the point. We all know, just from the title, what the story is going to revolve around. That said, the other night, after watching the first part of the movie I had a quick perusal of an online version of the book. From what I can see it was NOT 100% true to the book. Maybe I will have to read it.
Here is a FREE online version given that the book, published close to 100-years ago, is no longer subject to copyright.

I am glad I watched it; very glad. I nearly skipped past the Netflix recommendation — though, by now, I should know better. The Netflix AI is pretty damn smart. It is based on a book & I wish I had read it. It is probably even better. It would have been a great book to listen to on Audible.
Quite the story. No indication whether it is based, even loosely, on a true story.
I am not going to say anything more because I don’t want to spoilt it for you. I liked it. I think most of you will too. It has an above average IMDb.com rating — & that does not come easily.
Click to ENLARGE. See the damage on the left hand side. Unusable. Cost nearly $16! Click to ENLARGE. From the side to see the extent of the damage. Click to ENLARGE.
Diabolical. Bunch of idiot clowns. They claim they know photo books. Like hell.
DO NOT order photo books from Snapfish.
The two pictures above tell you ALL that you need to know — alas.
I paid $12.99 (for the 20 page book), 99 cent SHIPPING SURCHARGE & $9.08 SHIPPING.
$10 in shipping & this is what I get?
No wonder I love Amazon & KDP paperback publishing. I have got HUNDREDS of books from Amazon. On average I get a couple of books A WEEK. I have never had a damaged one.
Bloody Snapfish. I regret having used them. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.

This is quite the photobook. Amazing, riveting photos of people, cityscapes (Minneapolis suburbs), nigh scenes coupled with some profound text (some of which reads like poetry). Only 24 pages, but the photos & production quality are of the highest standard. The book, alas, isn’t currently available online — but you can contact ‘TeeGee’ (as he is called) through his well-worth visiting Website & get one through him. I think it will be available online, maybe even on Amazon, soon.
I met TeeGee, online, a longtime ago. I have yet to meet him in person. We keep in touch over Facebook. This is his public Facebook page.
You should definitely check out this book & TeeGee’s other work. You will be glad you did.
NO. I did NOT set out to make a 2023 calendar. I had (& many would say ‘luckily’) FORGOTTEN about making calendars. I have really only done one & only one calendar & that was 18-years ago.
Amazon ‘Kindle KDP’, through whom I publish my recent books, as far as I know do NOT offer a calendar making options. Maybe they should. I will contact them about that.
This all came about BECAUSE I visited ‘lulu.com‘ after many a decade. I went there to see IF I could get my ‘Bold Coast, Maine — In Color‘ paperback printed on better paper. That is when I saw CALENDARS. I couldn’t resist. I obviously had more than enough photos.
So, that is the story. Maybe I will get around to doing a 2024 Bold Coast calendar, in 2023, BEFORE the end of the tourist season in Maine. SMILE.
I am NOT trying to make any money from this venture. Check the pricing. Ditto with my books. I make money trading options. SMILE. All this is for fun.
YouTube video with SOME of the photos from this book.
Not much I need to say or add. In this case all the pictures can & should do all the talking.
It a 54-page, full-color photo-book.
The PRIMARY objective was to create an AFFORDABLE, full-color paperback to complement my other 3 Bold Coast paperbacks — which are all in black-&-white. Just for completeness, consistency & to keep Amazon happy I also created an eBook version — though my Bold Coast ebooks, of course, are in color. But, this book has many, many photos I have not published before. Check out the YouTube video {above}.
Please check it out. At Amazon you have a totally FREE, no-obligation ‘Look-Inside‘ feature. Give it a spin.
